About

Shannon Pultz’s work has been exhibited widely in Europe and the United States.

In 1992, while completing her BFA at the Cooper Union, she co-founded Art Club2000, an artist collective of seven art students in conjunction with the group’s New York art dealer Colin de Land of American Fine Arts, Co.

In the early 90s she worked as editor of Flash Art International in Milan, Italy, and continued to live in Italy until 2007 when she moved back to the U.S. to chair the visual art department at her alma mater Pittsburgh CAPA, Pittsburgh’s creative and performing arts school.

In 2018 her work with Art Club2000 was featured in the exhibition The Conditions of Being Art: Pat Hearn Gallery and American Fine Arts, Co. (1983-2004) at the Hessel Museum of Art at Bard College (June 23rd to December 14, 2018).

A retrospective of the group’s work opened in October 2020 at Artists Space (NYC) and travelled to Kunsthalle Zurich in September 2021.
